It was a pleasure for our local officers to learn from Brother Boston and his years of experience in negotiations in commuter railroad. In recent years his accomplishments include chairing labor coalitions on AMTRAK & LIRR that led to favorable contracts in the industry at a time when railroads were trying every trick to stonewall us at the bargaining table.
Jim Finnegan from Grand Lodge was elected to serve as the next VP of Commuter Rail. Brother Finnegan has great knowledge of Railway Labor Act contract language, arbitration awards, the working conditions of our specialized craft, and we are glad to have him as our next VP.
